FounderLaw.ai is an AI-powered legal tool built by UK lawyers. You answer simple questions and instantly receive tailored, lawyer-grade documents you can edit, sign and use immediately.
Founders, early-stage startups and scaling businesses that need high-quality legal agreements created by actual lawyers.
SeedLegals and FounderCatalyst are basic platforms for managing funding rounds, and they also provide basic template documents. FounderLaw.ai is different — we built this to help you generate high-quality legal documents instantly, before you ever get to a funding round. SeedLegals – Automates funding rounds (priced accordingly ie. a commission basis for the same document), includes cap table. FounderCatalyst – Human-led service with lower fees for SEIS/EIS rounds, strong investor-handholding, and manual review. Documents similar to Seedlegals - BVCA Series A documents simplified but still investor friendly. FounderLaw.ai – AI-powered document creation. Instant, flexible, founder-friendly drafting with optional lawyer review. Ideal for early-stage legal needs, first drafts, negotiations, and fast document creation. Basis for all documents was created by lawyers who create these types of documents on a daily basis. FounderLaw.ai grew out of our founders experience of advising founders who had already used SeedLegals or FounderCatalyst but needed more personalised documents or deeper legal guidance, basically wanting more than "basic". We built a tool to bridge that gap.

Not for most standard documents. For paid-plan subscribers, when you get stuck, you can access a lawyer through the Whatsapp group as part of your plan. For complex matters, or where you want a lawyer to negotiate for you (eg term sheets and funding rounds with sophisticated or institutional investors), you can request a fixed-fee lawyer.
Not by default, but optional lawyer review is available certain paid plans.
Templates and workflows are built and overseen by practising lawyers experienced in corporate, commercial, employment and startup law. The lawyers who built the documents advise, on a daily basis, founders, startups, VCs, scaleups, and SMEs.
Highlight any clause and ask the AI to: – simplify it – rewrite it to protect your position – offer alternative versions – compare founder-friendly vs investor-friendly wording Or: for paid plan subscribers, ask a lawyer in the Whatsapp chat.
